Sanya Annase Bise, a 20-year-old house cleaning maid from Pashan, Pune, traveled to Parwadi during the lockdown. She relied on savings and borrowed funds to sustain herself and her family.

Informed through YouTube, Sanya covered the entire journey on her scooty, facing a scarcity of food, water, and financial resources. The journey took 3-4 days and was marked by exhaustion and fatigue. Upon arrival, they were placed in quarantine without health amenities.

Due to the lack of decent work in her hometown, Sanya returned to the city for employment. She emphasizes the need for a clear timeline for blue-collar workers to vacate cities before future lockdowns to prevent such hardships.
