Sintu Kumar Mishra, a 42-year-old security guard from Pune, embarked on a challenging journey to Khadia Zila, Bihar, during the lockdown. With only part of his saved salary and unaware of the lockdown until the government's announcement, he relied on YouTube news for information.

Receiving no instructions or support, Sintu traveled by truck for a short distance, walked several kilometers, and got occasional lifts from random vehicles, taking 18 days to reach his destination. Food and water were scarce, and upon arrival, he quarantined for 10-15 days in a government school with meagre meals.

Facing no work at home, he returned to the city post-lockdown, having received no financial assistance. He hopes such a situation never recurs, desiring a stable life for himself and his dependents.
